Viral Videos

1. CollegeHumor, Cereal Mascot Therapy Session

This video is popular because it parodies something we all know, cereal mascots, it presents them as having mental problems. I find it funny because of the parodies, and that it doesn’t set up for one big joke at the end, it does small funny things throughout, that may not be expected from the viewer.

2. CollegeHumor, Brohemian Rhapsody

This video is a parody of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody, but with original lyrics based on a person who is a member of a fraternity, Gamma Pi, and is at one of their parties. It is funny and popular because it parodies something most people know, it uses visuals along with an original soundtrack, the video tells the story of what happens in the song, to help the viewer understand the jokes in the song.

3. Lex Luthor Bailout

This video is popular because it parodies Lexcorp, and puts the company and its CEO in another well known thing, the current economic downturn. People will find it funny because they have seen Superman movie, TV shows etc… but also they have seen some companies struggling with the current economy.

Unbreakable

Unbreakable
At the beginning of Unbreakable Bruce Willis' character is broken, he is afraid of water, he's not smart, and he has marital problems. The movie really starts when Dunn (Bruce Willis) is contacted by Elijah (Samuel L. Jackson) The PONR happens when Willis' son tries tp kill him. The "low" happens when Dunn is remembering about the time he almost drown as a child. The ending state for Dunn is that he excepts that he is a superhero, and leads the police to find Elijah for the crimes he has commited.
In Unbreakable there are other interesting things as well. some scenes were shot with only one shot, which would be very difficult, the lighting was well done, it along with the colours did a good job to make Dunn seem different throughout the film. For example when Dunn is in the hospital as the only survivor of the train accident, he is wearing yellow, surrounded by blue tones: the room is blue, the lighting makes the doctors coat appears blue. The very first shot in the scene was very well done, using a mirror, but one cannot see the crew, and having only one shot throughout the whole scene. The story was interesting to, presenting realistic grounds for a comic book superhero and supervillain.

Movie Trailer

The trailer for Max Payne was very good, it gave us the premise: a cop who is seeking vengeance. It also gave the viewer many "trailer moments" such as the shots of him running throught the office shooting, then breaking the door, and the shot of the monster/angel-thing pulling the guy out of the window at the end. The trailer also had a very dramatic and intense soundtrack, that tells the viewer what sort of film it is. The trailer shows the films style to, because it shows many slow motion shots, many action shots, and many other special effects. The very last clip also shows the viewer what kind of film it is, as Max loads a shot gun, this says that the film is extremely action oriented.
